Discover America Photo contest--$100 Grand Prize

In honor of Columbus Day, we're announcing our 8th annual "Discover America through Postcards" photo contest. The purpose of the contest is to share photos of special places in America--North, South or Central America--and inspire others to learn more about the area. The scene should capture the beauty, history or curiosity of a location. So, give us your best shot. Submit your photo today. See how easy it is.

Six finalists will be selected based on originality, composition and technical execution. Each of the six images will be made into an e-postcard, featured on the Postcards from America website, and emailed to our subscribers who will choose the winner. (That's right. YOU decide.) The winner of the $100 Grand prize will be announced on March 15, 2011, the Ides of March.
Entries are accepted until February 12, 2011. All finalists will receive an autographed copy of the companion book, Discover America Diaries, while the grand prize winner receives the book plus $100.
Photo submissions can be color or black-and-white from either film or digital cameras, but must be accompanied by an entry form.
