What state is it?
Answer: Michigan
Four of the five Great Lakes swirl around Michigan, the Wolverine State. Lake Huron, Lake Michigan and Lake Erie lap at the mitten-shaped Lower Peninsula, while Lake Superior caps the Upper Peninsula. An additional 11,000 inland lakes substantiate the state's unofficial nickname, Water Wonderland, an irresistible lure for boaters and anglers alike. For auto enthusiasts and corn flake aficionados, the cities of Dearborn and Battle Creek respectively gave birth to these two Michigan inventions. Topping off these treats are Michigan cherries. This state produces more cherries than any other in the country, grown mostly along the shores of Lake Michigan.
