Governor Letters

State of Minnesota

OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR

ARNE H. CARLSON

State of Minnesota

October 3, 1997

Dear Ms. Sarsfield:

You asked me to recommend where you should go and what you should do for the week of July 6-12, 1998, while traveling in Minnesota. I am enclosing a booklet that includes itineraries, along with some beautiful pictures, for quick trips throughout Minnesota. Minnesota the "land of sky tinted water" has something for everyone.

At the center of the state is the Twin Cities, which includes the capital city of St. Paul and the city of Minneapolis. Scores of theaters, galleries and museums, as well as two professional orchestras make this area a notable arts haven. The world famous shopping center, Mall of America, is located in nearby Bloomington.

You can take advantage of diverse attractions offered throughout the state. Cruise on a Mississippi riverboat, canoe in an unspoiled wilderness or enjoy water sports at a north woods resort.

It sounds like you will have an exciting and busy year ahead of you. I hope you enjoy your time in the great state of Minnesota.

Warmest regards,

Arne H. Carlson
Governor
