Governor Letters

State of Mississippi

OFFICE OF THE GOVERNOR

KlRK FORDICE

State of Mississippi

September 26, 1997

Dear Mrs. Sarsfield:

I would like to welcome your visit to Mississippi during your up coming Discover America journey. I feel that Mississippi has many wonderful locations that you will find enjoyable.

Enclosed is information on different areas of tourism throughout our state; I hope that it proves helpful. We hardly restrain visitors to travel only to popular locations; we invite everyone to take advantage of all that we have to offer.

I believe that Mississippi has a distinct advantage over other areas of the country. Our diversity runs deep; with our beautiful coast line on our most southern border to the wooded foot hills of the north, Mississippi offers a wide spectrum of experiences awaiting every visitor.

I feel sure after visiting Mississippi, you will leave with a stronger sense of hospitality with a deep appreciation of southern charm and tradition that are Positively Mississippi.

Sincerely,

S. Ross Aldridge
Governor's Assistant
