In 1858 a retired businessman dreamed of building a railway up Mt. Washington. He was repeatedly ridiculed, mocked and labeled crazy. But 10 years later he had the first mountain climbing cog railway in the world, acclaimed as one of the greatest engineering achievements of the century.
